Gauntleys Rum Tasting Evening

After doing several whisky tasting evenings in a row, we felt that it was time for a change, so the theme for our next evening is going to be Rum.

With Whisky and Rum, there can be some blurring of the lines when it comes to the tastes and flavours which, in some instances, can make it just a little more difficult to tell them apart. It is becoming so that some whisky distilleries are even ageing some of their whiskies in ex-Rum casks!

Because of these similarities we felt that the whisky connoisseur would appreciate the selection of very high quality rums that we are putting on.

There will be 5 different Rums on tasting this evening ranging in style from the softer, more silky, sweeter styles going to the more robust, more dense and full bodied varieties. The Rums featured on our evening come from a diverse group of countries too including Venezuela, Trinidad, Mexico and, of all places, JAPAN!

There are only 12 places available for this tasting evening so you will need to be quick! Places are priced at £30.00 per person and are sold on a strictly first come, first served basis. You can buy your ticket online or by phoning us on 01159 110555 and buying it over the phone.

Alternatively, you can pop in to the shop and buy in person. The tasting will be held at the Gauntleys Store, 4 High Street, Nottingham and will kick off at 7pm on the 23rd March.
