A lovely, contrasting nose of dusty straw, herbal barley and fresh, fragrant white fruit and apricot. With time a touch of nutty honey, baked/ dried fruit, waxy vanilla and toasty oak.
The palate opens with fresh winey wine fruit, apricot and honey. Very full and rounded with a waxy mouth-feel. Hints of vanilla, coffee, nuts, wood spice and supple tannin follow. Beautiful balance of spirit and oak types and oozing complexity. Long, honeyed and fruity finish with lingering aromatic winey fruit and nuts.
