The nose is lightly oiled and herbal with barley, malt biscuits, grippy sherrywood tannins, pure raisin, sultana and treacle. The sherry cask is pretty noticeable.
The palate is intense, herbal and sherried with earth, treacle and dried citrus fruit. Masked finish with lingering dried fruit, liqueur-like orange, sweet spice and treacle.
War makes the nose softer with less sherry, which means that more barley, malt and youthful spirit can be discerned. Hints of granulated sugar, strawberry, rose petal marc and spice. The palate is also softer. Still herbal but like the nose less sherried and thus shows more barley, malt, strawberry Turkish delight, rose petal marc and spice. Long with lingering rose petal/ rose Turkish delight. In conclusion: It's fascinating work in progress.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
