The nose is fresh and costal. Lighter in peat intensity and oilier than the 46% bottling but it still displays plenty f white fruit, barley, honey and salt.
The palate opens with the obvious alcohol, followed by white fruit, phenolic peat, barley and salt. It feels younger than the 46% bottling as there is a subtle feintiness present. Good length with granulated sugar, heather, honey coated white fruit, smoke and sweet citrus.
Water emphasises the oils on the nose and makes it a touch more aromatic and herbal. The peat is dustier. The palate feels fuller due to the emphasises oils. Less peat now and more sweet honey. Lovely depth and length with an aromatic, herbal, heathery finish.
