An intense, malty and coffee’d nose with tart red fruit and slightly astringent nettly/ herbal notes. With time some vanilla notes soften.
The palate is crisp and fresh with underlying dark malt, earth and tart red fruit. Quite herbal on the middle with the red fruits becoming drier/ oxidised in character. The spices also develop well. Masked, coffee’d and very slightly peated finish and a grainy spice after-taste.
With water the nose becomes like a breakfast malt! Wheat-a-bix, bran flakes, malt and subtler red fruit. The palate displays silky red fruit and malt. Again cereally with hints of minerals, citrus and earthy. Delightfully vibrant with a long, juicy and earthy finish.
