The nose is winey and grapey. Quite cask finish heavy with raisnated fruit, almond, walnut and subtle cocoa nibs and dark chocolate spices. The rye spice builds well and with time a little vanilla marzipan/ pastry note appears.
The palate opens with the sweet, raisinated fruit and sweet orange conserve. Hints of spice, chocolate powder tannin follow. Very chocolate orange middle with a hint of hazelnut. Long, very spicy finish with an intensity of cocoa nibs, vanilla and pastry. Green spice after-taste.
