Aged in 200ltr Pedro Ximinez casks, 100 – 128 Ltr First Fill Mulled Wine casks and 128 Ltr Virgin and First Fill American oak.

A warm vanilla and estery/ fruity nose with clove, ginger, cinnamon and young rye-like herbal notes. Hints of cereal, perfumed red berry, tar and treacle emerge. I’m surprised at how much spirit character is on display.
The palate mirrors the nose with warm vanilla, estery/ oily barley’d fruit, blackcurrant, cinnamon, clove and ginger. Quite herbal on the middle with nettle, blackcurrant leaf and tobacco leaf before the syrup coated black fruit and gritty sherry spice appears. Long and juicy – a veritable riot of grapey flavours and spice. Lovely mouth-coating texture and lingering ginger, almond, grapefruit and red grape. A very impressive winter dram!

Delivery outside the UK
