8 to 12 yr old spirit aged in 200ltr ex-Bourbon, 128ltr Oloroso and 200ltr Cherry cask. Matured in the Bodas Mines. 75% of the whisky is finished in 350ltrs ex-Plantation Barbados and Jamaican rum casks.

Aromas of buttery American oak and estery fruit emerge first, followed by toffee, minerals, cinnamon, herbal sherry, bruised apple, pear and subtle rummy dried fruit. The nose feels quite reserved and the rum notes are not as intense as the 2016 Vinterdrom bottling.
The palate opens with gingery spice, estery fruit and minerals. It shows a little more of the gritty Oloroso sherry and maybe a touch more rummy dried fruit. The sherry softens on the finish as a touch of American oak comes through. Long, with lingering rum and hints of apple, pear and barley.
