A seriously earthy and wood nose with succulent, almost sweet rye, lemon, apricot, tobacco, sweet violets, almond, corn paste, pepper and hints of mint and vanilla oil. The oak sits pleasantly in the background and allows the delightful complexity of the spirit shine.
The palate is succulent and earthy. It’s a little woodier than the nose suggests and shows tannin, coffee, vanilla, hazelnut and burnt wood. However, the dark rye powers through with a lovely dark, expresso coffee spice, leather, citrus, truffle oil, molasses and more earth. Wow! That’s complex! Very long, very spicy and woody with a touch of turmeric, tobacco, mature baked fruit and earth in the finish.
Water brings out menthol and eucalyptus notes along with black pepper. It’s a little leaner and fresher with more citrus. The palate is not as earthy and a little sweeter as more oak vanillins show. Silky, almost Canadian dried fruit on the middle. Still long, less spice and more succulent mature baked fruit.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
