A slightly gritty nose with chocolaty port wood tannins and hints of estery apricot, apple and barley. It moves into more dried porty fruit – blackcurrant/ cherry and I have to say there is a lovely purity of black fruit. Hints of salt, honey and baked fruit. It is quite heavy on the port, but it’s just about balanced.
The palate opens like the nose with chocolatey and gritty tannins, followed by porty black fruit, spice, salt and subtle fleshy fruit. Quite a salty middle which is balancing the black fruit sweetness. Long, slightly masked and subtly spiced finish with a bonfire wood note in the after-taste.
Diluted the nose and the palate display more distillery character but it’s still pleasantly chocolaty (I like chocolate!) The finish is now fuller, juicier and a little less spicy.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
