Chunky, coffee’d and chocolaty with herbal Oloroso, wood smoke, vanilla, raisin and sweet heather. Entertaining and very cask orientated but the vanilla and toffee somehow powers through the intense herbaceous character. Late hints of burnt toast.
The palate opens with subtle milk chocolate, followed by toffee, coffee, raisin, sultana, dried apricot, subtle herbal, sweet heather notes and wood smoke. Intense, mouth-watering dried orange and Satsuma finish with grippy, coffee’d tannins.
