Aromas of burnt toast, cereal, blackberry jam, plum, figs and subtle earthy peat. Hints of pure (not marc-like) rose petals, strawberry mousse, clove and nutmeg. Seriously thick, deep and uber juicy aromas.
The palate opens with the thick, winey red/blackcurrant conserve and hints of earthy peat, rose petals, strawberry mousse, cigar leaf and toasty but slightly bitter oak. That's a serious mouthful! Long and drying with lingering rose petal, blackcurrant leaf and slightly bitter chocolaty tannins.
A drop of water knocks back the winey fruit and brings out more of the astringent peat character, along with a touch of smoked meat and salt. The palate is softer and rounder but no less thick with a slightly herbal wine cask note now. The fruit is less jammy and the oak is not as bitter, or as intense. Good length with a slightly peppery finish and lingering ashy peat and smoked meat.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
