A very intense nose of cardamom, anise and earthy juniper. Slightly savoury and oily with hints of biscuity spirit and lemon balm.
The palate is oily and intense, opening with liquorice root, anise and earthy juniper, followed by subtly sweet orange and cardamom. The alcohol makes the middle and finish a little drying, but there is a softly spiced finish with lingering citrus and sweeter juniper.
Diluted the nose is softer, slightly sweeter with plenty of juniper on show along with the lemon, cardamom and pepper. The palate is even oilier with more juniper and less spice. Still pretty intense with the lemon and cardamom coming through strongly. Long and oily with lingering juniper.
