1990’s – 1st fill Bourbon Barrels distilled in Oct 1995
2000’s – Re-charred ex-Verdejo wine casks, distilled in Jan 2000 and Jun 2009
2010’s – 2nd Fill French oak barrels, distilled in Mar 2013

The nose opens with the noticeable mature and dusty American and sherry oak. That spirit from the 70’s has given the aromas a cognac-like nuance. Hints of beeswax, oxidised apple, pear, cinnamon, sultana, raisin and coffee appear. A little grippy French oak comes through along with a subtle floral wininess. That is a beautifully layered nose.
The palate opens with the mature Cognac-esque dried fruit and sherry spice. Beautifully deep with vanilla, coffee, sherried dried fruit, cinnamon, crystalised tropical fruit, citrus peel and minerals. Stunning length with the mature fruit lingering and returning dusty American oak and spicy French oak. Dark chocolate, tobacco and coffee after-taste.

You can buy online and collect from our Nottingham shop. Save on the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
