Deep aromas of rich, sherried dried fruit and subtle peat smoke, tobacco, liquorice, tar and molasses. Silky and smooth with a touch of barley, earth, candied orange peel and almost botanical juniper-like notes.

The palate is pleasantly intense with tar, molasses and a density of dried fruit and subtle herbal Oloroso notes. Gentle, dry peat smoke wafts in along with prune and juicy orange on the middle. Subtle tannin and coffee'd finish with lingering sherried fruit, earth and peat.

Water makes the nose lighter and more citric with a softer sherried character. The palate is softer but still heavily sherried and treacly. A little shorter and a touch more tannic now with less peat but still enough to notice. The finish shows more herbal Oloroso.
