Nine Leaves is an artisanal distillery founded in 2013 in Otsu in the Shiga prefecture of Japan by Yoshiharu Takeuchi. Double pot still distilled from Muscavado sugar which is produced from Japanese cane sugar and Aaed in 250lt medium toasted virgin French oak.

Pungent, youthful aromas of pure, pulped sugar cane with a slight agricole-esque character. A touch of tight, grainy French oak comes through along with vanilla, cinnamon and sweet nutmeg. Amazingly well balanced with the freshness of the spirit keeping the oak spices contained.
The palate is much like the nose. Soft and youthful with pure, pulped sugar cane, primal tropical fruit, banana, Muscavado sugar and gentle agricole-esque notes. The charred oak comes through on the middle bring a touch of tight spice. Long, crisp, spicy and sweet finish. The oak does bitter a little but the spirit character balances pretty well.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country.
